How I identify myself
I make a living working in the music industry as a freelance producer/recordist/balance engineer. More broadly I like to think of myself as an opportunity seeker. The music industry has gone through a paradigm shift in recent years, and the success of new innovation is enjoyed by someone every day. In order to maintain a lasting career of making music, I must keep an open mind regarding these daily changes. I want to take the opportunities I find, and forge them into accomplishments. I want to be a part of next generation of pioneers that sweep through the music and entertainment society, whether it be on a large or small scale.
My Creative Approach
I help musicians define the key elements of their songwriting. I then work with them to begin shaping their performances of these songs in a way that will translate their vision with brilliance. Finally, I capture these performances with a purity that is congruent to the identity of the musician or ensemble.
Third Degree
It all started with an interest in making/playing music. I still spend a fair amount of time writing and performing music. Often times I co-write with an artist that I’m working with. Other times I write music for my own catalogue.
Beyond music, I have an affinity for video/film, web design, graphic design and photography. However, these are hobbies rather than a trade of which I consider myself a professional.
Thanks for you interest in what I do!
